...where was the growth in wages and whatnot during the Bush era? There was none. Perhaps people worked longer hours? But that's about it. Where was the better life? We only went more into debt.

Y'know, you really should inform your opinions with facts sometimes.  If you actually bothered to look at the data you'd know that people worked longer hours and wages were still stagnant.

Knowledge, it's interesting stuff.

Fight fire with Arthur!

He who fights with monsters should be careful least he thereby becomes a monster. When you stare at the abyss, the abyss stares back at you.

Corporations aren't people.  People are second class citizens.

Yes, that's what I said. Thanks for the repetition. That's free market for vous.

I still don't understand why you say 'pencil sharpening'. How are we 'sharpening' anything? It would make more sense if you said "You can only use a pencil for so long before you have to sharpen it", using 'sharpening' as an analogy towards reforming the system into something more effective, much as you would with a dull writing utensil.

Ah no, I meant that a pencil runs out. You sharpen it and sharpen it but eventually it's done with, and you throw it away.
