Does anyone have any recommendations for a cheap but reliable web host?

Me: IRL, I had to give a talk today in front of the congregation at church. My brother paid me a dollar to mention his name. Sarpedon: I bet Jesus had the same deal running with his dad.

I can give you a Dreamhost coupon code. They're like the cheapest around.
It's $10 a month normally, but I believe the first year is $50 or so with the code.

These folks popped up while I was looking around. I have no idea how reliable they are, though.

Yeah, I was looking at the iPage earlier today too. The problem is that every web hosting site and web hosting review site looks so sketchy to me. It's probably because they all look so generic.
I might take you up on that coupon, Jane. I would rather pay a little more for a hosting service that I know is legitimate. Is there another hosting site that any of you use?

ClickMy bad, this one was $60, and you have to do the whole year. That one URL should take care of it, but if it tries to charge the usual $119 use DHSUMMER.

On GoDaddy.com, when you search a domain name, a girl talks to you.

So, like, is GoDaddy awful? I'm also interested in a web host and I don't know nothing about this shit.

Don't use GoDaddy for anything
I like NearlyFreeSpeech for domain registration. They won't just drop your site if somebody complains.

I use nearlyfreespeech for domains, and bounceweb for hosting. Dreamhost has too many fatfinger mistakes for my liking.

yo, so I'm being all retarded and I don't understand the internet I got my domain name on nearlyfreespeech. I then went to figure out getting hosting on bounceweb, and it started yelling at me about all this business and I don't know what I'm doing. I want to transfer my domain to BounceWeb
I will update my nameservers on an existing domain Or I will register a new domain. What is this? I don't know this mumbo jumbo. Help me, peeps.

The second one. Like I have my domain on NFS pointed to Dreamhost's nameservers (ns1,ns2,ns3.dreamhost.com)
