Count me pissed off because I'm having little luck finding it anywhere on the internet. I don't have a scanner, and I really don't know how else to get issue 26 up. I finished High Society today, goddamn that was good. Makes me even more mad that I can't find it for you guys.

Cerebus and High Society arrived today.

And today is my Friday. Which means I will be reading a lot very soon. Because these are really thick books.

That they are.

And fuck it, I can't find issue 26 anywhere. I'll just add the link later tonight, and start adding the rest of the series. I'll write a synopsis of what happens in 26 to lead up to the rest of the High Society arc.

I'm still reading through the first book and I find it so funny that every time there's a set up for a big amazing adventure, something happens that makes that end and Cerebus just moves on. Like in The Secret, the drugs wear off and it's just done.

I love the art, Cerebus' expressions and fighting panels especially, the humor ("ALL HAIL BRAN MAK MUFFIN!!") and the stories which remind me of the days when I'd play D&D.

The superhero parodies get ridiculous throughout the series, and as of Book 4 (Church & State vol. 2), they have yet to wear thin. And while the humor has taken a bit of a backseat to the story, when the humor strikes, it strikes hard. I just got done reading an issue that introduced dead-on parodies of Keith Richards and/or Steven Tyler. And the art still[/u] improves with each passing issue. Granted, at this point it isn't exactly chaining at the rate like the first two Cerebus books did (honestly, in some issues I could see his design evolve with each passing frame), but little tiny things keep getting better. When Gerhard jumps in to do the backgrounds somewhere in the middle of Book 3 (Church & State vol. 1), the results are breathtaking at times. Some of the most beautiful art I've ever seen in a comic.

Every time I read these books I keep thinking that this could make one of the most epic cartoon series ever. Half of me wishes that Dave Sim would fucking pitch this shit around (forget a movie, you just wouldn't have the time) to some networks or studios. The other half of me wishes that Sim and Gerhard would just, to put it bluntly, die so that Cerebus would fall into public domain and someone would get the ball rolling. I know it shouldn't be me, I'm terrible at this sort of thing. I honestly wouldn't care how it was done, so long as it followed these two simple rules. Rule 1) DO EVERYTHING THAT THE COMIC DOES. DO NOT CHANGE ANY LINES OR CUT ANY SCENES OR ADD NEW ONES (this one really only applies if Sim and Gerhard are dead and some fan is running the operation. Sim could re-write the story all he wants for all I care). Rule 2) NO CGI. The comic is a perfect example of some of the best 2D comic art I've ever seen. The cartoon should reflect that.

Oh goddamnit. Blick made me excited look at all that text I wrote. To make up for it, I've started uploading the rest of the series. Should be done by tomorrow guys.

EDIT: Uploaded 11 through 14, the last two should be done when I wake up tomorrow.

Done uploading books 15 and 16. Now I'm done with everything except for a few one off comics.
